Virtual Waiting Room: A No-Code Setup Guide
All Eyes on the Waiting Room
NetFUNNEL helps maintain stable service even when a sudden traffic surge exceeds your system’s available processing capacity. Based on the configured admission limit, users are either allowed to enter immediately or placed in a queue to keep the load under control.
While users are waiting, the virtual waiting room provides information such as their queue position and estimated wait time.
A virtual waiting room is also one of the screens users pay the most attention to. As anticipation builds around “I’m almost in” and concern grows over “What if my turn gets pushed back?”, users naturally pay close attention to even the smallest details on the page.
That makes the virtual waiting room more than just a place to wait. It can strengthen your brand experience and even create additional business opportunities.
Configure Your NetFUNNEL Waiting Room Without Code
A waiting room is far less useful if it cannot be easily adapted to different service situations.
NetFUNNEL provides an intuitive no-code interface that lets you customize the design and content of your waiting room without writing or deploying additional code.
With simple UI controls, you can customize various elements of the waiting room. Changes are immediately reflected in the preview, allowing you to see the results in real time.
Here are the main configuration options.
1. Themes and Layouts
NetFUNNEL provides five waiting room themes: Modal, Module, Banner, Information-Focused, and Image-Focused.
Each theme offers a different way to present waiting information and visual content.
Modal: A classic and widely used layout for virtual waiting rooms.
Module: A more dynamic layout than the modal theme. You can use two images tailored to your event or campaign, and the layout is responsive across different screen sizes.

Banner: Designed to highlight key content. It can be styled like a promotional page, making it suitable for concerts, movie promotions, product launches, and other targeted events.

Information-Focused / Image-Focused: These layouts position waiting information and visual content on either side of the screen, allowing you to emphasize whichever element should appear first.

2. Typography
You can directly edit text such as the waiting room title and live status messages, while freely adjusting the font, size, and color.
This makes it easy to align the waiting experience with your service’s brand identity.
3. Visual Elements
You can easily configure visual elements including:
Favicon (browser tab icon)
Browser title
Images
Background images
These options allow the waiting room to feel like a natural extension of your website or service rather than a separate system page.
4. Functional Options
You can also decide which waiting room elements to display and customize how they appear.
Queue Progress: Displays the user’s waiting progress as a numerical value alongside the progress bar.
Admission Status: The admission status is visually distinguished by color and displayed in three different states depending on the waiting situation.
Admission Status Messages: Messages can automatically change according to queue progress and admission status, allowing users to receive information that matches the current situation.
When queue progress reaches 90% or more:
“You’re almost there. The screen will switch automatically.”
“You’re ready to enter. You’ll be able to access the service shortly.”
“You’ll enter shortly. Please keep this page open.”
“You’ll be connected shortly. You’re almost ready to access the service.”
When the queue is moving quickly:
“Entry processing has sped up. You may get in sooner than expected.”
“System conditions are currently very stable, and the queue is moving quickly.”
“Users are moving through the service quickly, so your queue position is advancing faster.”
“{n} users have left the queue. Your turn may come sooner than expected.”
When queue processing is proceeding normally:
“Users are being admitted steadily in order.”
“The queue is being processed sequentially. Thank you for your patience.”
“The number of users ahead is decreasing at a steady pace. Your turn is approaching.”
“Access traffic is remaining stable.”
When queue processing is delayed:
“Traffic has increased sharply, so the queue is moving more slowly than usual. Thank you for your patience.”
“Server processing has slowed, so admission may take longer than expected.”
“Average session time for admitted users has increased, which is also extending wait times.”
“High traffic is temporarily slowing the admission rate.”
“A temporary increase in traffic may slow processing.”
Other configurable elements include:
Estimated wait time
Estimated admission time
Number of users behind you

Turn Waiting Time into Value
A waiting page no longer has to be a static screen where users simply wait.
Without writing a single line of code, you can apply your brand identity and communicate with customers through real-time messages tailored to the current situation.
Most importantly, service operators can make immediate changes without relying on developers.
With NetFUNNEL’s no-code configuration, you can build a virtual waiting room that fits your service and turn waiting time into a better customer experience.
